CrossFitter of the Month Nominee Questionnaire

 

1.  How long have you been coming to PhysicallyFit/CrossFit Trumbull?

  • Since June 2018

2.  What were your goals when you started?

  • My goal was and still is to get into the best shape of my life.

3.  What results have you seen in yourself?  What have others seen?

  • I’ve become much stronger and am able to lift more weight than I have ever been able to before.

  • My endurance has gone up significantly.

  • My form for all of my lifts has become much better.

  • Others have noticed that I am getting stronger and my endurance is improving. I think some people have noticed that I’m a little faster than the average person.

4.  What is your biggest motivator?

  • My biggest motivator is striving to compete in competitions at Rx weight.

5.  What accomplishments have you achieved inside and outside of CrossFit? (i.e., CrossFit workout schedule, exercises you couldn’t do before, outside exercise habits or activities, nutrition habits, races, etc.)

  • My favorite accomplishment is being able to get two workouts in on my days off. When I first started CrossFit I was so gassed at the end of one workout that I would have to go home and take a nap afterwards. Fast forward a year and now I am able to complete two workouts a day and feel great afterwards.

  • I am able to go to CrossFit at least 4 times a week.

  • I am able to ring muscle up, bar muscle up, squat clean, power clean, thrusters, and so many other Olympic movements I was never able to do before.

  • I eat very healthy now and am very conscious of the type of foods I eat. I generally buy foods on the perimeter of the grocery store. I cook my own meals and rarely eat any fast foods. 

6.  What are your goals going forward?

  • My goals going forward are to start competing in competitions, tough mudders, and Spartan races.

  • I am of course always striving to lift more weight and reach new PR’s in all Olympic lifting movements.

7.  What does being nominated for CrossFitter of the Month mean to you?

  • Being CrossFitter of the month really means a lot to me. When I first joined I was really shy and intimidated by everyone lifting all this heavy weight and making it look so easy. I envied everyone loading up their bars and lifting heavy weights. I knew I would be able to become a powerlifter like them with a lot of hard work and dedication. It feels good to be recognized, I put in a lot of hours at the gym and spend a lot of time meal prepping for the work week. Thanks for the nomination!
